Justice is a Gravity Knife

C.G. will serve six months. That's about 40 days for each life he sped to an end. Racing. He wanted to race.  Egged them on, asking what could be more fun than a street race?

He’s white.

He wrote a limerick on Facebook after he plead guilty to 5 counts of manslaughter.  “On the day Mr. Gloe pleaded guilty, he posted messages using an epithet about the police and claiming “I’ll be in and out faster than you can spin a doubt.”’ [The New York Times, May 2016]

And he was right.

Because the judge said he was just a kid. That he needed to be educated. (Only white boys need that, turns out, whereas black boys need to be incarcerated).

And he said that even though. Even though when they pulled him over after he’d been found guilty,  (He was in a car. Again)

He had a gravity knife.

A thing easy to hold that becomes deadly when it starts to fall.
